First Holy Communion

Having become a child of God clothed with the wedding garment, the neophyte is admitted “to the marriage supper of the Lamb” and receives the food of the new life, the body and blood of Christ. (CCC 1244)

First Holy Communion is a profound encounter with Jesus Christ, truly present in the Eucharist. In receiving His Body and Blood for the first time, a child is drawn into deeper union with the Lord and more fully incorporated into the life of the Church. This Sacrament nourishes the soul, strengthens charity, and forms the heart in gratitude and reverence. It is not simply a moment to be celebrated, but the beginning of a lifelong relationship with Christ, who feeds and sustains us through the Holy Eucharist.

Please Note:

  • Children must receive First Reconciliation before they can make their First Holy Communion.

  • A copy of the candidate’s Baptism certificate must be presented at the time of sacrament registration.
