OCIC is a two-year program designed to enrich your child’s understanding of church teachings on the sacraments of initiation.

OCIC is a process of sacramental preparation for children who have not yet received the sacraments typical for their age. Similar to OCIA for adults, it provides formation that is faithful to the Church and appropriate to a child’s level of understanding. This allows children to prepare to receive their sacraments in a setting designed for them. OCIC ensures they are not placed in a class where they feel “behind,” nor in an adult setting that is not suited to their age, but are instead guided with care toward full participation in the sacramental life of the Church.
