Vickie Spieth

Preschool Director

Vickie Spieth has dedicated more than 20 years to the field of education. She earned a Bachelors of Education with a Minor in Music at Cleveland State University. She has taught students of all ages in Ohio, California, and Georgia. Vickie lives in McDonough with her husband and their two sons. Because both of her children attended St. James Preschool, she has long held a special appreciation for the program and its community. She joined the St. James Preschool staff in 2018 and was named Director in 2021. Vickie is excited to welcome both new and returning families and looks forward to another wonderful school year!

TEHYA STOVALL

Lead Aide

Tehya joined St. James Preschool in 2005 with five years of experience as a licensed elementary educator. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Cameron University and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree to further her passion for teaching and learning. Recently new to Georgia, Tehya is excited to be a part of the St. James community. She is the proud mother of a two-year-old daughter who inspires her every day to nurture curiosity, kindness, and a love for learning in her students.

Paige Giltmier

4 Year Old Teacher

Paige Giltmier has been at St. James Preschool for over 20 years. She began as an aide in the Three Year Old program and was a Lead Teacher for 5 years in that age group. She has also taught the Four Year Olds and will be working with the Five Year Old class again this year. She attended Lagrange College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a Minor in Psychology. She has two college age children who both attended Saint James Preschool.

Courtney corbin

4 Year Old Teacher's Aide

Courtney is a dedicated Early Childhood Educator with one year of experience, but she’s looking forward to adding more. She’s worked with children of all ages, but especially toddlers and preschoolers. She believes that every child can thrive in a nurturing and positive learning environment. Courtney is set to graduate in 2027 with a Degree in Early Childhood Education. She lives in Conyers with her husband and four cats. She is looking toward to joining St. James as a Teacher’s Aide!

Tracy Howard

4 Year Old Teacher

Tracy Howard has been a teacher at St. James Preschool for over 20 years. She started off teaching the Three Year Old classes then moved onto the Four Year Olds. She enjoys teaching and helping the children prepare for Kindergarten. She has been married to her husband Will for over 30 years, and they have three children. Their eldest Matthew is a Priest for the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Their son Jake has a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, and their youngest daughter Kacy is a nurse. She also has an adorable granddaughter, Aerith. Tracy is very excited to start another year at St. James, a place she considers her home.

Mary Kate Iner

4 Year Old Teacher’s Aide

Mary Kate has been a member of St. James parish for 15 years. She was a member of Life Teen, and has also helped as an usher for 6 months. She has volunteered as a teacher Vacation Bible School, and she enjoyed working with the children. Mary Kate is super thrilled about starting her second year in a Teacher’s Aide role and is looking forward to spending time with the kids!

Shantrinique Doe

4 Year Old Teacher

Shantrinique Doe "Nikki" is new to St. James Preschool but not to working with children. She has 3 years experience in childcare education. She will be teaching one of our Four Year Old classes this year alongside our new classroom aide, Mrs. Andrea. Mrs. Nikki is excited to work and grow with the children.

Andrea Liford

4 Year Old Teacher's Aide

Andrea Liford is an experienced homeschool educator with 15+ years homeschooling her two children. She has past experience as a Faith Formation teacher in the Archdiocese of Atlanta and loves working with children. She is dedicated to helping children learn, grow and succeed academically. 

Melissa Finley

3 Year Old Teacher

Melissa Finley has been a part of the St. James family for over 10 years. She lives in McDonough with her husband and 2 sons who attended St. James Preschool. Melissa first became involved in the Preschool as a room helper. She became a staff member in 2018 as a 2-Year-Old teacher, and is currently one of our 4-Year-Old teachers. Melissa has also taught one of our 3-Year-Old classes. She loves helping the children learn and grow!

Grace greer

3 Year Old Teacher's Aide/PE Teacher

Grace is a recent honors graduate of Georgia College & State University where she earned her Bachelors of Health Science with a concentration in Public Health. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Health Promotion and Health education also from Georgia College & State University. Grace is new to St. James and will be serving as a Teacher’s Aide as well as being the Physical Education Teacher. She is extremely excited to see how this school year goes!

Linda Armstrong

3 Year Old Teacher

Linda Armstrong began teaching at St. James Preschool in 2008. She and her husband David moved to Georgia in 1995 from Cape Cod, MA, though she is originally a Philly girl. They have a daughter and two grandchildren. Linda teaches one of our 3 Year Old classes and loves it. The children are so sweet and a little crazy at that age, and that suits Linda just fine. She loves their curiosity and enjoys watching them grow as they learn about the world around them, the love of our Lord, and the joy of making new friends.

Stephanie Turman

3 Year Old Teacher's Aide

Stephanie has over 13 years of experience working with children and she loves helping little ones learn, grow, and have fun! She is a proud mom and enjoys spending time with her family. In her free time, Stephanie loves tutoring math, playing tennis and has recently taken up pickleball, which she really enjoys! 

Mackenzie Saegaert

2 Year Old Teacher

Mackenzie Saegaert is a recent graduate of the University of Georgia, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Elementary Education and is excited to transition from her role as a classroom aide to a lead teacher in the 2-year-old classroom this school year. Mackenzie is a St. James parishioner and is especially grateful to return to the preschool where she was once a student.

Brittney Carlos-Dunlap

2 Year Old Teacher

Brittney earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education and has several years of experience working with children and families. As an educator and mom of two, she believes every child deserves a classroom where they feel safe, loved, encouraged, and excited to learn. Brittney's faith is an important part of her identity, and she looks forward to helping each child learn, grow, build confidence, and make wonderful memories throughout the school year.

Molly Canfield

 1 and 2 Year Old Teacher’s Aide

Molly has worked for more than 13 years in the field of Education, with students from ages 3 to 18 in preschool - 12th grade. She earned her Master's degree in Special Education and her Specialist degree in school psychology from the University of Georgia. Molly has worked with students in DeKalb County, Gwinnett County and Manning, South Carolina. She has 2 daughters who work in Smyrna, Georgia - one who is an assistant director of programming for music venues and her younger daughter is completing her Master's degree in occupational therapy. Molly is pleased to be returning to St. James Preschool for another awesome year!

Makayla Eldridge

1 Year Old Teacher

Makayla has worked in childcare for over five years, and caring for little ones is truly something she loves. She is currently working towards a degree in Early Childhood Education and hopes to continue learning and growing as a teacher. Makayla's goal is to create a classroom filled with love, laughter, learning, and lots of fun! She believes every child is special, capable, and deserving of a safe and loving place to grow. 

Haven Garcia

1 Year Old Teacher’s Aide

Haven has been a parish member at St. James for 13 years and was an active member in our Teen Life program. This is her first year working with the preschool. Haven is planning on majoring in music therapy. She can't wait to help take care of all the little ones!
